WHAT IS
PEER SUPPORT?
Peer support is when individuals with shared experiences come together to provide mutual understanding, encouragement, and shared responsibility. It can take many forms, including counseling, mentoring, reflective listening, and offering guidance based on personal experiences. By fostering a safe and empathetic space, peer support helps individuals build resilience, develop coping strategies, and feel a sense of belonging. Whether in formal programs or informal connections, it plays a vital role in emotional well-being, personal growth, and community support.

OUR MISSION
MileStones aims to level the playing field for individuals with challenges, barriers, and other intellectual disabilities to ensure they have the opportunity to succeed in attaining and maintaining their goals towards independence.
